Why we built 2Safiri
Public transport in Kenya moves millions of people a day on vehicles run by small operators with thin margins and almost no software. That gap is the whole reason this exists.
A SACCO chairperson's day is spent on questions that should be easy: which vehicles are out, how full they are, whether today's fares add up, who was driving what. The answers usually live in a notebook, a WhatsApp group and someone's memory.
2Safiri puts those answers in one place, updating as the day happens — so operators spend their time running the fleet instead of reconstructing what it did.

- Built for how matatus actually work
- Crews change vehicles daily. Passengers pay in cash and on M-Pesa. Vehicles fill up at the stage and leave when they're full. We designed around those facts instead of asking anyone to work differently.
- Every shilling accounted for
- Fares reconcile against trips automatically, so takings aren't a matter of trust or memory. Owners see the day's revenue without waiting for anyone to add it up.
- Set up in seconds, not weeks
- A SACCO registers with a name, an email and a phone number. Routes, vehicles, fares and crews get added as you go — you're never blocked on a lengthy onboarding.
- One system, two brands
- 2Safiri runs on the same platform as our sister product, which means every improvement to dispatch, payments or tracking reaches both — and the mobile app your passengers use is the same one we build against.
